Explore the fjords around Tromsø with a purpose

We are currently preparing this citizen science project in collaboration with a research institute and several actors from the northern lights tourism industry.

What :

The goal of this ambitious project is to restore the tundra where it is damaged by campfires, and to encourage environmentally friendly behaviors based on the leave-no-trace philosophy. 

How :

- By mapping and categorizing the campfires left behind on the northern lights watching spots.
- Restoring the tundra where it is damaged.
- Advocating nature-friendly practices.

When :

Snow-free months of the year (May-October/January)
